YUR Back Classes Are Coming Spring 2025!
Many people in America are living with low back pain. Whether it is new pain due to an injury or chronic pain, low back pain can interrupt activities of daily living and even lead to less enjoyment in movement. YUR Back is an approach to teaching Pilates that was designed by PT and Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, Christine Romani-Ruby, to help students learn safe movements to increase their strength and flexibility while avoiding an increase in low back pain. YUR Back is a safe method for people managing low back pain, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis and other degenerative disc and spinal problems. We will offer three different classes based on student needs focused on spinal stability exercises, spinal flexion exercises, or spinal extension exercises. Students can progress their Pilates practice in the YUR Back classes or take the modifications they learn into other group classes. Gain confidence in moving again through YUR Back!
YUR Back classes require a minimum of three participants. If you are interested in YUR Back, please contact Cindy at ccarrawaywilson@gmail.com.
